Meet The Editors

Kelly Weed Dahl and Emilie Brand Manhart, co-editors of Sparrow, are life-long friends now bonded through the joys and challenges of parenting two children each while pushing themselves to reach their own goals and dreams.

Kelly lives in Ohio with her husband Erik and their two children, Cooper and Ellery. Kelly is always striving to find meaning as a working mamma, wife, and creative woman. Journal writing, exercise, painting, and getting outside are some of the ways Kelly finds balance. You can find more of her work at Perched To Fly.

Emilie has called Maine home for ten years now, where she lives with her husband Sam and children Skyler and Reed. She works as a high school English teacher, and balances her remaining time between baking, running, going to grad school, writing the blog One Mom in Maine, and spending as much time as possible in the outdoors.
